What Year Is It?
Imagine that you are in the year 1980 and decide to take a quick nap. But somehow, your nap ends up lasting over thirty years.
When you wake up, you notice big changes in the world, especially with regard to technology. A company called Amazon is announcing delivery by drones. Another named Google is rolling out driverless cars. There are telephones that fit in your pocket and can place an order for an organic gluten-free kale salad in seconds. Those are a lot of conveniences that technology allows us to have lately.
But if you were to look at a translator in 2014 finishing up another one of his or her projects, you might notice that not much has changed at all: manually doing word counts, filling out invoices, and worrying about deadlines and scrambling to find where they saved their translated document.
Add to that all the issues that can arise due to translation agencies still working manually, not being able to provide clients with a transparent workflow, not having an automatic way of paying translators and often paying them late.
Considering the pace that technology has penetrated the translation industry, translators might as well still be using a feather pen and inkwell to do their work!
But they shouldn’t, and they don’t have to. That’s because MotaWord is this industry’s long overdue wake up call.
We take care of the word counts. We take care of the payments. We provide a platform for you to be able to work from any computer. All you have to do as a translator is what you have always strived to do: provide your best translation from one language into another.
Simply put, MotaWord is what brings translations and translators into the 21st century.
And remember, there’s no reason why this leap to the future should make you feel lost. Change in the world is always inevitable, but that is why we are here to help! We offer live demonstrations of the platform twice a week that you can participate in to help you learn more about MotaWord. These are a great opportunity to see how MotaWord works and and ask us questions - maybe even contribute with solutions to pain points our platform might be having.
